A Miracle on Earth – Tulip Fields in the Netherlands Are Not Only in the One Famous Spot Everyone Knows
You can also visit Noordoostpolder!

Tulips in the fields are grown by farmers with the aim of selling the bulbs all over the world. In fact, those stunning, endless flower fields that take your breath away are just a byproduct of that production. And by the way, farmers aren’t exactly thrilled with the number of tourists who sit in the tulips, lie in the tulips, walk around and take photos.
A miracle on Earth - tulip fields in Holland are not only in one place that everyone knows well. You can also visit the Nordoostpolder!
Since the whole world only knows about one place where you can see blooming tulip fields — on the North Sea coast near Lisse, where the famous tulip park Keukenhof is located (which is actually designed for visitors) — the Dutch government decided to redirect people to other locations, making it more convenient for tourists and safer for the flowers.
One of these places is Noordoostpolder. It's a former island reclaimed from the sea, just like Flevoland. More precisely, it used to be an island but is now part of the m
ainland.
They've created convenient routes here that you can travel by car or bike, with parking spots, can you imagine? A circular route connecting all the fields can be found on their website and downloaded to your phone — super convenient! Set aside some time to visit separately, and you won’t regret it. Beautiful fields and nature — everything you’d find in Lisse, but even better!
I went to these fields to paint tulips — you can upload the field locations directly into Google Maps! Gorgeous varieties, double tulips, beautiful shades — I absolutely adore this place.
